Young people from slums and crisis areas are trained as hairdressers and can thus build an independent life for themselves.

Intercoiffure unites the best hairdressers worldwide and places the highest demands on the professional and human quality of its members.
This claim gave rise to the idea that the association must also commit itself to social engagement in order to help people who are not on the sunny side of life.
Intercoiffure Mondial President Klaus Peter Ochs laid the foundation for this when he launched the ‘Education for Life’ aid program in Paris and proclaimed the thesis ‘We feel it is our duty to support young people and give them a perspective. The most important thing we can give is qualified education’.

The aim is to operate training schools for the hairdressing trade in as many countries as possible.
There are now several training projects worldwide in which young people receive qualified training and thus a future.
The majority of young people who completed their training in one of these school projects were subsequently placed in a hairdressing salon. Education for Life also provided immediate aid in the event of natural disasters to help children on the ground – quickly, directly and in a controlled manner via the global Intercoiffure network.
